4. Sunday Youth Nite Sunday, January 12th.
This Sunday we will follow up our Hot Topic Discussion with an exploration of God's Law vs Natural Law. Why can't we all just do as we please? What will give us eternal joy & happiness? God's Law for sure!

5. Changing the Format of St Pius X February Parish Youth Retreat
We are changing the format of the St. Pius X Parish Youth Retreat on February 8th.
We have a high number of young people who are unable to attend the entire weekend so we are moving from a weekend at Camp Stella Maris to a one-day retreat held on our campus at St Pius X. We are happy to say that we will once again, be welcomed by Sr Jean and Sr Mary Ann to use the Convent for most of our day, then we’ll attend the 5:00 pm Mass with the Parish, have dinner in the Parish Center and close the evening with Reconciliation with Fr Paul in the Church/Chapel.
If you have not signed up for the retreat yet and want to do so you can follow the same link to register: https://giving.ncsservices.org/App/Form/d7cadd47-dd0c-46e6-b3f0-07fce42db500
Here's the details:
St. Pius X Parish Youth Retreat
February 8, 2020
at St Pius X Convent/Church
8:00 AM – 10:00 PM
We are still looking for 3-4 adults who would like to be small group leaders and we will need some other adults or older teens to help facilitate meals. If you’d like to help please email me at barb.legere@dor.org. Thanks!

6. SPX Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship January 26
Entry forms due to the Youth Ministry/CYO Office by Monday, January 13th!
Hello Parents:
My name is Todd Esposito. As a St. Pius X parishioner and a member of the St Pius Tenth Knight of Columbus, Council 17086. I am writing to invite you to promote the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship that our council is hosting on Sunday, January 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the gym of St. Jude’s.
As you know, free throws are a huge part of the game of basketball. The ability to make free throws at crunch time is what every coach covets. Plus, by getting your players to value the free throw, you are also teaching them the finer tenets of the game. For instance, players that learn to take the ball to the basket in an aggressive, but controlled manner help their team’s offensive output. Winning the free throw battle means that your team finding the open person and playing team basketball.
Please encourage your player to attend the contest. Entry forms will be distributed to all CYO coaches from Mrs. Legere. Because of administrative tasks from the Knights of Columbus, all competitors must register using the official Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship Entry Form/Score Sheet. Registrations are due to the CYO/Youth Ministry Office by 9:00 AM, Monday, January 13th. Proof of age must accompany all entry forms. Players may give their forms to your Coach by January 12th OR Parents can turn them in to the office directly.
Winners from our Council will progress to the district, regional (Syracuse) and state (West Point) and national levels of competition!
I look forward to seeing you on the 26th. It will be fun!
Sincerely,
Todd Esposito

Consider a week at Camp Koinonia, a Catholic Family Camp which is about an hour from Rochester in the hills south of Canandaigua. You can come visit us for the day 6/13/20. Opportunities for teen and adult staff and volunteers available.

8. Service Week just around the Corner
Throughout Winter Break St Pius X will offer a variety of Service Opportunities for young people. I'm looking for great ideas now - if you're a teen, what kind of service experience would you like to try? If you're a parent - do you have a connection to a group that could use some help? Service projects should be 1-2 hours and need 5-8 teens. Email barb.legere@dor.org to offer suggestions!
