Walt Disney: His life

Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901. He grew up in different places due to his father always moving around, looking for different opportunities to grow a business. Walt spent his life up until the age of 16 selling papers for his dad, working early mornings, late nights, and on the weekends, inevitably putting a huge setback on his education. Later on, his family moved up to Chicago but Walt stayed with his older brother, working odd jobs. After a while, Walt went into the American Ambulance Corp. in France. He was able to sell his cartoons to locals and eventually went back home and moved to California with $40 in his pocket.

After moving to California, Walt started Disney Bros. Studio in Hollywood, where he was eventually able to produce Steamboat Willy, a cartoon featuring Mickey Mouse. The cartoon was a hit, and after the success of it, Disney was able to buy a large studio and better equipment. His team and him were already hard at work in numerous films, including Snow White. In the late 1940's, Walt started to create a kid's theme park that would inspire kids and adults alike to stay youthful and positive throughout their life. It took him five years to complete. Walt Disney may have had a rough past, but with his hard work and determination, he was able to create one of the most well-known companies known today.

“Around here… we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”- Walt Disney

“It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.”- Walt Disney

Conflict and Theme

The conflict for Walt Disney's life is Character V.S Society. This is because he had to move multiple times with his family due to conditions on their property. Also, he was never able to get a formal education in school or in art.

I believe that the theme for Walt Disney's life is never stop creating. I believe this because he always followed what he wanted to do, didn't listen to people when they told him to stop or change.
