Team What The Whaaaaat?!
MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
WOW! 2015 is almost over! What the whaaaaat?!
How would you sum up this year with O2?
For me, Ah-May-Zing!!!! Here are some highlights:
In January, many of us attended a SOAR event in a major city. Some went to Chicago, some went to Nashville and some to Cincinnati. It was a great day of info and some "EVERYBODY GETS ONE!"

In February O2 sent me on an earned, all expense paid trip to MAUI! A trip of a lifetime. I saw many whales swimming around, toured the beautiful island, experienced a Luau on the beach, met some fabulous designers and got spoiled rotten by O2!
In March our Michigan Mentors, Tamara and Sharmin, flew to Missouri for a fabulous weekend of training! Oh, and we had a blast too!
In May many of us around the country attended a Pop Up Tour Event! Lots of fun and training during this evening!
In May I earned another all expense paid trip on the beach in Naples Florida! I attended some great, helpful training, played games with Bella, Chrissy and other O2 Staff on the beach and once again, got spoiled rotten!
In July many of us traveled to Chicago to attend the Origami Owl National Convention.
It was a BLAST! Highlights were a Savvy Team Dinner at Giordano's for some famous deep dish pizza, an O2 1920's Dance Party, a PPD & Team What the Whaaaaat?! team dinner at my sister's home with famous Chicago Hot Dogs and Eli's Cheesecake, and of course a lot of "EVERYBODY GETS ONE!"

Who will promote in 2016?
With the new year comes new goals. My personal goal for 2016 is to be the best example of what an Origami Owl leader is and to empower each of you to be confident in your abilities to lead successfully, grow strong teams, and thrive in your O2 businesses. The way I plan to do this is to of course get back to the basics.
Our job as a mentor, first and foremost, is to always be there readily available for our first line leaders. Even if you don't currently have a team you are still a leader. Customers, hostesses, and leads are watching you and deciding if you're the leader for them. Let's give them a great example!
In 2016 I would like all of us to make working closely with our direct mentor and our first line designers our first priority. By building and nurturing those relationships we are fostering confidence and in turn developing strong and capable leaders.
In order to do this you might hear me or fellow leaders say things like "Have you asked your mentor?" or "Where did you look in the back office for the answer?" when you present us with a question. Please don't take this as us not wanting to help you. By referring you back to your mentor and encouraging you to learn more about navigating the back office we're actually helping you. I know it doesn't always seem that way but please know that it's coming only from a place of love.
That doesn't mean we can't all be available for each other. It just means that we should be encouraging each other to reach out to our mentors if we have a question first.
As leaders of successful and growing teams time can sometimes be scarce, and as our teams continue to grow, so will the demands on our time. (Remember, that's a good thing. That means our businesses are thriving and our calendars are full.) Having a strong knowledge and skills foundation as well as a working relationship with our direct mentors will enhance the amazing support system we already have in place.
I truly believe that 2016 is going to be our year. We've got this!
Owlways Yours,
Kim ;)
