Mediator Appreciation Day

Volunteers are needed to serve as tour guides of 40-60 elementary and middle school students and adults. Tour maps will be provided well in advanced of the date. This map will be routed with some key terms that may be used to describe buildings, areas of use, and activities on campus.

Volunteers are needed to help set-up on Friday, May 2nd. On May 3rd, volunteers will help with registration, placing luminaria's on the track, the Kid's Zone, and various areas throughout the event. Sunday, May 4th will consist of tear-down activities.
iServe Volunteer Program

The USDA Hispanic Serving Institutions National Program (HSINP) is recruiting two students for the iServe Volunteer Program, an unpaid-learning program, at the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) in Fresno, CA. The program allows college students to gain professional experience with the USDA that complements their education. iServe volunteers will be paired with a mentor in the same line of professional work being performed; and will receive a letter of recommendation upon successful completion of the service term.
Students will work with experienced Fresno FSA program technicians, learning the various farm bill programs administered by Fresno FSA. In addition, volunteers will assist in the new farm bill programs producer information meetings; and work with County Executive Director (CED) in learning management skills, budgeting, and program delivery planning and execution.

Open Gym Attendant @ Wellness Center
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM (
No specific skills required. Monitor participants, notify any issues to staff, remind residents to complete agreement/liability forms/sign in. Prep and clean room/music/equipment as needed.
Book switcher
Once or twice a month on weekdays during normal office hours, 2 hours per session. Switching books from one building to another. Need to be able to push/pull heavy book cart.
One to one Open Office/internet Instruction
Fridays at 3pm or other weekdays during normal office hours, once a week or less. Give one to one instruction on Open Office Software or internet usage per residents’ request. Need knowledge in Open office software (similar to MS office) and internet explorer, Skype. Require patience and creativity to provide needed instruction for senior computer users in different levels/abilities.
Special Event Decorator
Once or Twice a month. During normal office hours. Create special event decorations or help decorate some areas. Need creativity and love of arts & crafts. Instruction for the decoration making will be given by the Activity Staff.
