- T. Poston/S. Meade and their small teachers for leading Friday's learning celebration. They shared with us how they are learning as mathematicians to add numbers, subtract numbers, identifying patterns, and using math in the real world.
- Congrats Brett Blackwell whose wedding was this past Friday. Best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Addy for a successful marital relationship.
Tailgate
We are looking forward to the tailgate tomorrow while sharing good food and good times. We are thankful to have parent volunteers that will provide coverage tomorrow. Homeroom teachers we will need you to ensure students go through the line and are seating before joining the tailgate. This will assist our volunteers greatly.
Mini Theater Repair
During heavy rain we have experienced leaks in the mini theater. This results with damage to carpeting and the cinder blocks. With the support of our superintendent and operations supervisor we hope to get this issue resolved.
The mini theater will be closed this week as multiple contractors will seek to fix the problem. We anticipate the work being completed during the holiday break.
This change will impact Kit Klub drop off Monday and Tuesday. Students should be dropped in the gym on the opposite of where car riders are lined up. Thanks for your attention to this.
Jeans can be worn without spirit wear Tuesday.
No after school PD for certified staff Tuesday.
Data Team Professional Development
The office of instruction is providing site-based support/professional development as we continue inquiring into data teams. Consultant, Melissa Bickerstaff, will lead the PD that will include a data team facilitator or grade level rep. Those persons will be K. Claytor, C. Walker, V. Gustafson, M. McDermott, D. Abu Abdo, M. Drayton, and B. Ybarra. Our instructional team will also participate in the professional development as well.
The goal is to build capacity for our facilitators as we become even more efficient and effective with our teaching efforts.
These colleagues will share new insights gained during professional development scheduled for Tuesday, November 27th.
