Flu season

In addition to the flu clinics that are happening on site, there are additional options.

1. Care ATC flu vaccines for employees, spouses, and dependents ages 4+ on the health plan. Appointments for the flu vaccine are needed:

2. Community flu vaccines: list of locations that you can get a flu vaccine in the community.

Sharing vaccination records

As a reminder, Parkway is asking all staff to consider sharing vaccination records if you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Vaccination is highly encouraged, but not required, for both students and staff. Please contact your school nurse or building contact tracer for more information.

For information on convenient access to vaccination in our region, click here.

Parkway Cares

Parkway Cares employee recognition program identifies employees who exemplify caring and live the Parkway mission each day.

Nominees receive a lapel pin, a note of gratitude/recognition and instructions on how to nominate another employee. Paper forms will be sent to schools and buildings for employees who do not normally access a computer.

People of Parkway – Allison Seaborn

The patient and humorous Allison Seaborn is a Social-Emotional Behavior Specialist (SEB) for all central elementary schools. She also serves as a resource for the Early Childhood Center.

Recently, Allison has started to support Early Childhood by helping staff understand challenging behaviors and create plans to support students throughout their day. Parkway's four SEBs work alongside a TA who serves a crucial role in helping teachers implement these plans in the classroom.

Allison is passionate about supporting her peers and approaches her collaboration in schools with a good sense of humor. In addition, she cultivates relationships quickly, making her work and the work of others inevitably easier to manage.

Victims Economic Safety and Security Act

In 2021 Missouri adopted the VESSA Act, which provides some unpaid leave rights to employees who are victims of domestic violence or abuse. These employees may need to be absent from work for a variety of reasons associated with the abuse including recovery, treatment and legal matters.

The VESSA Flyer will be sent to each school.

Let's support you

In Parkway, we are always striving to improve our employee connections, communications and provide you with the support and information you need.

Please tell us how we are doing and how to better support you by completing this brief survey that will only take a couple of minutes. We will use your feedback to develop our communications in the future!
