Week - 11/19/2018: Monthly PBIS focus is HONESTY
A few needs have come to light that I wanted to share with you. First, our staff room is in need of a new fridge as ours is falling apart and about to die:( If you are thinking of getting a new fridge for your home and need a place for your old one to go, we would love to take it off your hands!
Here are a few other things that we could use if you have any lying around:
- large box like refridgerator box or large tv, etc.
- CD player
- old ipods or nanos that can still have music put onto them
- yoga balls
- small fleece blanket
- lamps (not torch lamps)
Thanks for considering!
A little late this week, I apologize! Just a few updates for you as we go into the long Thanksgiving weekend!
Some of you are asking about when the fundraiser ends. We are still doing the school store fundraiser and it isn't too late to turn in your packet, we have a lot of the prizes to still hand out! And if your child has already qualified for more prizes, they will be coming soon from the company and I'll get them to you as soon as they arrive.
The next PTO meeting will be Dec. 4, at 6PM in the library. If you have been wanting to attend but can't come during the day, this is your chance! Hope to see you there!
It's time once again to collect food for the Elk's annual food drive! Students can bring in non-perishable food items from Nov. 13 - Dec. 12. Please remember that we cannot accept items packaged in glass or that have expired dates. There will be a prize for both the primary and intermediate classes that bring in the most food!
Did you know that Basketball is considered the top sport by the Aspen Institute Project Play to improve physical skills for kids? So not only are you learning the game of basketball, but you are also increasing your ability to play additional sports and activities (which we also recommend). There are opportunities for students in grades K-6, please read below!
Little Dribblers is an opportunity for students in grades K-4 and is very affordable! There are scholarships available if needed, please reach out if you are in need! http://tinyurl.com/basketball2019-kto4th
For students in grades 3-6, there is youth basketball available. Registration is open through Nov. 26th. Currently there are 22 NP kids signed up! Please call 503-681-5380 and speak with Kevin Zuercher to register your child!
Have a wonderful week!
