Hi Everyone,

Who are we? A timely piece from Richard Rohr on the subject. I hope you like it.

Confirmation on Saturday night was such a reverent and beautiful and enjoyable experience. To the Reverend Father Vincent Glynn, Father Tom and to Elle, we appreciate everything you do. To our parents, the work you have done to support your children on this journey will be long remembered. To our staff Nikita, Pete and Tegan, congratulations on all of your preparation with the children to make this sacramental journey such a special one. Finally to our children in Year Six who received the Sacrament, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Congratulations!

Ooh La La!!!! Bogan Bingo tomorrow! Looks like some 120 people are going to make a night of it! Best wishes to everyone going for a fantastic time together.

Have a great weekend

School Fee Statements

All families were emailed an Updated Fee Statement this week. If you did not receive it, please contact the office or email hrsfinance@cewa.edu.au. A reminder that all fees are required to be fully paid by 30th November 2023.

Sickness #2

89 children were away on Monday, thank you for keeping them home. The Influenza A virus is fierce and is hitting us hard. We have also had may cases of Nits as well. Nobody, adult or child who is unwell, should be on campus. Our sincere thanks to everyone who collected sick children promptly and kept them home until they were fully recovered. By doing this you keep transmission to a minimum. Your support means so much to our community. Thank you for that support.

National Simultaneous Storytime was so fantastic!! We loved reading “The Speedy Sloth” by Rebecca Young and Heath McKenzie. Years 3, 6 and 1 enjoyed some library sloth time on Wednesday and learned a lot about these magnificent creatures.

A huge congratulations must go to our Junior Chess Tournament winners who played excellent chess and demonstrated incredible sportsmanship. Well done to Joey 2D our Chess Champion for 2023!! Noah 3C was an incredible opponent coming in 2nd place. Jayce in 2C came 3rd and Karri 1C played so well in her very first Chess Tournament!! Well done to you all!!

Senior Chess will begin shortly.

“Yes, Spike was slow, but for a sloth she was fast. And yes, it is true that this sloth came last. But Spike didn’t care, she was a WINNER! And she’d made it back home in time for her dinner!” The Speedy Sloth by Rebecca Young and Heath McKenzie.
