The Letter Rr.....somewhere over the rainbow
We enjoyed time together this week doing work with rainbows, with each class completing some of their own color work. On Thursday, Early Learners had fun painting their hands for our Red Bird craft project!
Early Learners also completed a rocket pre-writing page, which gave us the perfect opportunity to practice counting down from 5, for BLASTOFF! Pre-K stretched their skills to counting down from 10.
Pre-K added their Rr letter page to their binder, concluding the week with their letter Rr book. We also enjoyed putting on our scientist hats for our "Does it Roll" experiment.
We couldn't let our Rhyme Time theme or the letter Rr conclude, without taking time for a tribute to a master of rhymes, Dr. Seuss. What a perfect way to wrap another week of whacky fun.
We see them come.
We see them go.
And some are slow.
Some are high.
And some are low.
Not one of them
is like another.
Don't ask us why.
Go ask your mother.

Halle is a Star Person
Halle loves the colors yellow, green and purple. She loves dolphins and her favorite thing to eat is grits. Even though most of us have never tried them, Halle sure made them sound delicious.
On Wednesday, we learned that Halle is a big sister and she is a part of the Meyer family. Her family picture made it easy to see just how much they all love each other.
Halle's All About Me bag had a Guess Who game. She shared how much fun her family has playing this game together. Halle also brought in a pair of binoculars and we explored what is outside our Preschool window. Halle also brought in a soft cuddly friend from home.
Halle's Aunt came to read with us, The Rainbow Fish, a perfect story for our Letter Rr week. This book is so wonderful, reminding us what kindness means and that the greatest gift of all is friendship. What a wonderful way to end our week with Halle!
Quinn is a Star Person
Quinn's All About Me page gave him an opportunity to tell us about his favorite animal, his cat, Jack. He loves the color orange and Macaroni and Cheese. Quinn is part of the Richardson family and is the youngest of the 4 brothers.
On Friday, Quinn's All About Me bag gave him a chance to tell us about the orange hat from his 4th birthday party, which included more of his favorites, pumpkins! Quinn shared with us his love of legos and a video game he got for Christmas.
We also were excited to welcomed Quinn's mom, as our guest reader. She read a fascinating book about bats, helping us to learn how important they are to our ecosystem! Even though most of us don't care to live with bats, they help in important ways, as pollinators and by helping to control insect and pest populations.
What a wonderful week it has been celebrating the unique person God has created Quinn to be!
