S'MORE ABOUT
GAIL RITCHIE
I would compare myself to Apple Crisp
I think I am like an apple crisp dessert. I am a classic, traditional, yet still a yummy dessert. Nothing fancy, what you see is what you get. I don't need to hide behind a lot of fancy ingredients.
A bit about myself
I am an eighth grade teacher at Haynes Bridge Middle School. This is my seventh year there and my seventh year teaching. Teaching is a second career for me and I came from a science background. Currently I am the eighth grade chair at my school.
Following the recipe
Even though I am a simple classic, I do have a recipe that has to be followed and it takes time to bake. I am an analytical thinker (like to stick to the data and facts) and do not leap before I think it through. I may have to "cook" an idea for a while, but the results are worth the time.
Sharing the spotlight
I am always happy to have extra friends in my space (ice cream, berries, peaches, raisins, nuts). I like all kinds of people. One size does not fit all for my friends. I am very loyal to my friends and will always have your back if you are sharing my plate.
I am a bit of everything
I have a lot of dimensions to my personality that might not be evident. I am lots of different types of apples. I can be a bit tart (Granny Smith) or very sweet (Delicious) but the whole recipe together, it is pretty reliable as a great dessert.
Parting thoughts
Although I have a crispy outer shell that is tough that can and will make a decision when needed, the inside is very soft. I do care about what people think and what they think about me.
