JABSOM Ranks Well in Primary Care & Research: U.S. News & World Report
“Each year the school monitors its national ranking via the USNWR,” said JABSOM Dean Jerris Hedges, MD. “Given that much of the ranking methodology is based upon size of the medical school (e.g., number of students, number of faculty, etc), and national name recognition among deans of other schools, it is surprising that our small, more remotely located school consistently ranks as highly as it does each year.” See more on our website.

Journal of Thoracic Oncology publication
Dr. Michele Carbone's editorial sheds light on important epidemiological concepts related to imperfect testing for COVID-19. Carbone, JABSOM professor, along with Lt. Governor Josh Green, MD and colleagues were recently published in the Journal of Thoracic Oncology. Read more HERE.
OB-GYN Chief Resident wins poster symposium competition
Dr. Jennifer Chin's winning poster focused on the need for a protocol to order drug tests for pregnant women and their babies. This was during the Humanism, Empathy, Social Justice & Global Health Symposium sponsored by the Noguchi Medical Research Institute. Read more.

Shelton addressed the crowd at the event, saying, “all we (JABSOM Communications) do is hold up the mirror to you guys. That’s all we do. Thank you for being all that you are.
