All About Heather
Hello everyone! My name is Heather MacNaughton and this is my second year pursuing my Masters in Instructional Technology. I decided to focus my graduate studies towards technology, as this is a field I am very interested in and not many of my colleagues have much experience. I currently teach in Cuyahoga Falls, where I am an Intervention Specialist for 5th Grade and co-teach Math, Reading, Science and Social Studies. This is my first year teaching some of the 5th grade content, so I have a lot of new content to learn.
I currently live in Stow. I don’t have any kids, but I do have a German Short-haired pointer named Olivia. She is full of energy and keeps me very entertained. I also have a big, Italian family that I spend a lot of time with on weekends. During the school year, I tend to focus most of my time on my studies and schoolwork (lesson plans, IEPs, grading, planning, and more IEP’s). Over the summer, I enjoy reading as many books as I can get my hands on! Reading is one of my favorite hobbies, but I don’t get to read for pleasure much during the school year. Once summer hits, I will read a book a week. I love to go camping and travel. I have many friends and family all over the United States that I visit any chance I can get. I would love to one day make it to Italy and Scotland.
