William the Conqueror

Biographical Info

Duke William of Normandy or better known as William the Conqueror was born in 1027 in Normandy, France. He died in 1087 in England. His personality could be described as a fighter or controlling.

Memorable moments

He confiscated England land and made it his own personal property. He was also the person who made the Domesday book which kept a record of England's land.once william the conqueror said "War...is harmful, not only to the conquered, but to the conqueror".William was also illiterate in the English language.


He made the decision to invade the north lands and take the throne by force. We should care about William because of his pure drive to have power. William the Conquerors most significant accomplishment was him taking the throne from his brother.

King John

King Johns original name was John Lackland. born on December 24, 1167 in England and died in 1216. Many people would describe King John as a violent and conniving person.

Memorable moments

He stomped out the Brittany Rebellion. Signing of the Magna carta. "Pitiful and pitied by no one, why have I come to the ignominy of this detestable old age'. left in charge of England while his brother Richard left for the notorious Third crusade.


He made the important decision to sign the Magna carta. We should care about John because he was a king of England and gave the country prosperity. He but the Noblemen and Kings below the Law making them pay taxes like everybody else.

Joan of Arc

Biographical info

Joan of Arc or Jeanne d'arc. She was born 1412 in Domeremy, France and died in 1431. People often describe her as older beyond her years and devout in faith.

memorable moments

After being betrayed by her own country she is in the fight for her life but she looses. She became a saint of the church at 16 years old. "i'm not afraid I was born to do this". She was a poor peasent girl spoken to by god.
