Learning Aloud in the Library!
The Herbert Marcus Elementary Library Newsletter Vol. 3
It has been a super busy time at Herbert Marcus Elementary. Below are just a few of the activities that have happened in the past few weeks. We had Dallas Reads!, Family Story Time, and even a visit from meteorologist Greg Fields from WFAA. Check out our events below!
This year on 11-12-13, we participated in Dallas Reads! This year’s event was FREADOM and the theme was Leadership and Service in honor of all those who serve. We had several volunteers come read to our students and every class spent time reading and having a fun time.
Officer French reads to Mrs. Garza's class.
Volunteers read to students in Ms. Romero's class.
Students in P.E. take time to enjoy a story.

Remembering John F. Kennedy
Along with the City of Dallas and the rest of the world, Herbert Marcus Elementary commemorated the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy.
Learning about Meteorology!
TAG and 5th grade students had an opportunity to learn about meteorology from WFAA meteorologist Greg Fields. Students got to ask questions and talk to Mr. Fields and learn all about weather in Texas.
