Interested in taking higher-level classes next year? Want to learn more about the (IB) International Baccalaureate program at Royal? Come to IB Information Night on 2/8 at 6:30pm in the library. The USC Director of Admissions will be there, along with Royal students and staff, to discuss the benefits of an IB education. Peer Tutoring
Royal High School's Center for Academic Success ("The CAS") provides academic support for students experiencing challenges through weekly tutoring and guidance from upperclassmen student tutors from our chapters of National Honor Society and Math Honor Society.
Housed in our Library building in Room 2-2, the CAS is equipped with editions of each of our course textbooks and full access to all of our Library resources.

SPOTLIGHT ON.....Pennsylvania State University - University Park
10 Fast Facts:
1. Penn State - University Park is Penn State’s flagship campus. Located in the small city of State College, it is set amid a quintessential college town with eateries and shops that line the street marking the border between downtown and campus. Nestled near the base of Mount Nittany, the surrounding area of central Pennsylvania is known as "Happy Valley".
2. Penn State is home to 47,560 undergraduate students.
3. Penn State’s mascot is the Nittany Lion.
4. As a college system, Penn State has 24 campuses, encompassing more than 22,000 acres, across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; there is a campus within practical commuting distance of virtually every Pennsylvanian.
5. Penn State has an impressive 14:1 student-to-faculty ratio, and an average class size of 30.
6. Fun Fact: Before launching what is now universally known as Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield were students at Penn State who took an ice cream making class in 1977! And the rest is ice cream history!
7. Penn State’s Schreyer’s Honors College is widely recognized as one of the top undergraduate honors colleges in the nation. Each year, 300 first-year students are admitted into the Honors College. Those students may take advantage of the many resources that the Honors College offers, including: small class sizes in honors courses, scholarships, honors advisers, priority registration for scheduling classes, honors housing, plus a $5,000 Academic Excellence Scholarship ($2,500 per semester), renewable for four years!
8. Penn State students can choose to be involved in 1,041 different clubs and organizations.
9. Penn State competes in NCAA Division 1 athletics, in the Big Ten athletic conference.
10. Penn State offers more than 275 majors. Their most popular majors are Information Science, Business, Biology, Engineering, and Psychology.

Please consider supporting your Royal High School PTA by joining the PTSA for only a $7.00 fee.
Your membership dues help the many programs offered at the school such as Reflections, Every 15 mins, Distracted Driver, Scholarship Awards, and the Senior BBQ among others.
As a member you have a voice and vote at all PTSA Association meetings, you can advocate for students and teachers at the state level, and it also provides college scholarship opportunities for eligible students (qualifications include a 2-year membership.)
Membership DOES NOT require you to volunteer, but volunteers are welcome.
