Info-to-Go -- November 2014
Crestview and Nuevas Fronteras Spanish Immersion Schools
Principals' Corner:
Welcome to November. It is a wonderful time to give thanks! We are certainly thankful for the many things in our lives, including working with the amazing children, parents, teachers, and support staff at Crestview Elementary and Nueavas Fronteras Spanish Immersion.
We wrapped up the month of October in a sea of orange with a focus on building and district Anti-Bullying Initiatives. Students were extremely engaged and excited to participate in a running course designed to raise awareness against bullying. After the run, students signed a pledge committing to stand up against bullying.
Students and staff also celebrated unique and individual differences by wearing mismatched socks on Friday, October 24th. If you would like more information about the new Anti-Bullying Initiatives in district 833, please visit our parent resources site on the district website. http://www.sowashco.k12.mn.us/parents/bullying-prohibition-parent-resources
November is an exciting time for both staff and students. We’ve had an opportunity to develop student goals with families at conferences, completed some baseline assessments, and set the course to continue amazing work with students. Again, we are thankful to be part of this learning journey and look forward to continued growth and success with students, families and staff.
