BJ's Membership Drive . . .
BJ’s Wholesale Club is once again offering a membership drive at Titus. Terms are the same as in previous years; $40 for 15 months. You do not need to be a Titus family to participate so feel free to share this opportunity with family and friends. The application and flier with further information are available on our web site. The deadline is Friday, Jan. 24th.
Family Fitness Night . . .
You are invited to attend and celebrate fitness and American Heart Month on Monday, February 3rd in the Titus Dining Room. There will be three free sessions offered that evening. Feel free to attend one, two or all three of the sessions.
- Zumba is a group fitness class that is based on international rhythms. It is a cardio dance and fitness move format that is fun, easy and anyone can participate.
- UXF (Ultimate Extreme Fitness) a cross-training workout that uses interval strength and cardio training.
- Yoga is a holistic exercise system that stretches the body and renews the mind.
To ensure safety, fun, and the ability to get the most out of your chosen sessions, the maximum number of participants per session will be limited to 75 people (first come, first serve). Kindly complete, detach and submit this form or email your chosen session(s) to Mrs.Williams (P.E. Teacher) by Thursday, January 23rd.
Young Authors Day . . .
Young Author’s Day is scheduled for Friday, February 7th. The visiting author this year is Brian Floca. He is an author–illustrator whose most recent book is Locomotive, a nonfiction text that details a family’s 1869 journey from Omaha to Sacramento via the newly completed Transcontinental Railroad. This book and others by Mr. Floca are currently available for purchase through the school, and will be personalized by him on the day of his visit. All book orders for this event are due Thursday, January 16th.
Nominations Needed . . .
January's Asset #9 - Service to Others. Young person values service to others, in their family, school or community. Nominations for the January Asset must be sent to Mrs. Horan by Wednesday, January 22nd. If selected, this student will be recognized by CB Cares, an organization dedicated to promoting a stronger community through the 40 Assets program. Please nominate that special student that makes a difference in our Titus community.

Winter Enrichment Reminder . .
Today is the last day to register! All payments are due by January 15th. For additonal information, please visit the Winter Enrichment page on the Titus Home & School Association web site.
General Meeting . . .
The next Home & School general meeting will be January 23rd in the Titus dining room beginning at 7:00 PM. There will be several Home & School items on the agenda plus Miss Braksator will be presenting on Titus' Student Advisory Committee.
This past October the students at Titus embarked on a new journey into student leadership through the creation of our Student Advisory Committee. The Student Advisory Committee is made up of 17 students from fourth, fifth, and sixth grade. The students have been working alongside Miss Braksator, Mrs. Landis, Mrs. London, and Mrs. Meehan to make school-wide decisions and assist in various school duties. By participating in Student Advisory the student advisors are able to give a voice to their peers and develop responsibility and leadership skills.

Bowling - January 24th . . .
The Family Fun Night committee has reserved Happy Tymes Fun Center on County Line Road for an afternoon of bowling, pizza and games. Save the date - Friday, January 24th (1/2 day of school) from 1:15 PM - 3:15 PM. Cost will be $10.00 per person and includes 2 hours of bowling, shoe rentals, a slice of pizza, soda & 10 tokens. Please make checks out to Titus Home & School. Payment is due by Friday, January 17th. A Night of Service . . .
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and to never forget those suffering from Alzheimer’s, the Home & School Association is organizing a "Night of Service" on January 29th from 6:30 - 8:00 PM in the Titus dining room. The "Night of Service" is designed to not only celebrate the work of Dr. King but to also remember and support those suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Please donate items from the list provided before or on January 29th. A collection bin will be located in the rotunda.

Afternoon at the Movies . . .
On February 9th at 12:00 PM, the Home & School Association Family Fun Event Committe has arranged a private screening of the new movie "The Nut Job," at the Warrington Regal for our Titus families. Save the date . . . more information to come.
Box Tops are Heating Up . . .
Thank you for sending in your Box Tops last month. Congratulations to Miss Braksator’s class for collecting 372 Box Tops which was the highest amount for December. The Rita’s Water Ice contest standings are as follows:
- Mrs. Scherr’s class is in 1st place
- Miss Braksator’s class is in 2nd place
- Mrs. Gaul’s class is in 3rd place.
For the months of January and February, we will be having a Box Tops Make Your Own Sundae raffle contest. For every 10 Box Tops a class brings in, they will earn a raffle ticket. Every class will have a chance to win. We will draw a winning ticket on the morning announcements the first week in March. The more Box Tops a class brings in, the greater their chances of winning!
