NEXT FRIDAY IS TECHIE TAILGATE!!!
On Feb 2, we will be using the Goose Chase App as part of our Techie Tailgate. We will have devices available but it will speed things up if you would
1- Go create an account on goosechase.com
2- Download the app on your device if you would prefer to use your own phone rather than our ipad.
Don't forget to wear your Favorite Football team jersey that day as well!
We will have snacks and jeans passes for participants, so mark your calendars for February 2 and plan to spend 30 minutes (or longer if you are so inclined) checking out our fun stations!
Bright Bytes is Coming
CTE teachers: You may have the students take the Bright Bytes survey at any time that is convenient for your class during the survey window, February 12-28. I will be sending you the link and QR code as soon as I get it. I know you have other survey things that you need to do as well, so I appreciate you taking the time to address this one too. Every class will need to take it, and they will be seeing it twice because they will take it at their home campus as well. It is the only way for us to get data for our campus though, so they are going to have to just bear with us.
Teacher Survey: I will also be sending a teacher survey link for you as well, and we need all classroom teachers to take it. It is easiest just to take it when your class does.
Why do we have to do this?
This survey is a source of data that impacts decision-making all year long. From this survey we form new goals for next year, determine whether we are progressing towards current technology goals, our growth from year to year, what kinds of professional development we need to offer, the effectiveness of our district initiatives like the 5C badge program, and more. The data is used at the district level as well as the campus level, and principals are asked to pull up this data at principals meetings, so it is important that we have a good size survey sample that will yield meaningful data!
Password Reset
What do you need to do? While at school, hit ctrl + alt + del on your keyboard and choose the change password option. You'll be good for another year!
Some rules about passwords:
It must be 8 characters long.
It cannot be one of your previous 3 passwords that you have used.
A great way to create a secure password is to write a short sentence or phrase and replace some of the letters with numbers and symbols. For example, you could start with the sentence, "I run for tacos" and change it to Irun4t@c0s which would give you a capital letter at the beginning, two numbers and a special character. Plus it is 10 characters long! This is NOT my password, by the way. But I like it.
