Looking for Veterans to Honor at Our Assembly!
Park School will be having a short assembly honoring our veterans on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 9:45am. We would like to invite parents/relatives of our students who have served in the Armed Forces to attend this program. We would ask veterans to wear their uniforms, if possible. We would like to give each veteran an opportunity to share (1-5 minutes) with our audience their years of service, area of service in the Armed Forces, and what being a veteran means to them.
*Note: We are also asking that our Boy and Girl Scouts wear their uniforms for this day.*

Book Fair THANK YOU!
Monster Book Fair!!
The book fair was a wonderful success. The student had a lot of fun buying books! The profits help purchase books and items for the Park School Library.
A big thanks to our parent volunteers for making the Book Fair a big success by helping the students with select great book, counting money, aiding with the games, and just help making the book fair fun.
IMPORTANT LATCHKEY CHANGES
October 24, 2022
Dear Park Elementary & CELC A.M. Latchkey Families:
The top priority of the Chardon Schools Latchkey Program is providing a safe and friendly environment for all students.
In response to a staffing shortage for the Park Elementary Morning Latchkey Program, we are making the following adjustments for Park Morning Latchkey students, effective Monday, October 31, 2022:
New A.M. Location: Chardon Early Learning Center (308 Maple Avenue, Chardon 44024). Park A.M. Latchkey students will share the gymnasium space with CELC KDG A.M. Latchkey students just as they do for P.M. Latchkey.
A.M. Dropoff Point: Door 11 of the Chardon Early Learning Center. This is the gymnasium door and is located on the south side of the building.
A.M. Times & Processes: The morning times and processes remain the same as they have been at Morning Latchkey held at Park Elementary School.
A.M. Transport to Park Elementary: Chardon Transportation Bus #28 will pick up Park A.M. Latchkey students from Chardon Early Learning Center at 9:00a.m. for transport to Park Elementary School by 9:10a.m.
These adjustments are being made in the best interest of Hilltopper families as it will enable us to continue to best serve you and your students in a fully staffed environment.
If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me directly via email at lauri.zampino@chardonschools.org or by phone at 440.286.0407 or 216.402.8106.
Thank you for entrusting the Chardon Latchkey Program with your student(s). We look forward to a great rest of the school year.
Sincerely,
Ms. Lauri Zampino
Latchkey Director
