Adventure Dash Fun Run Fundraiser

This year, Adventure Dash Fun Run is coming on April 14, 2016 to help raise money for your school. Adventure Dash is the “FUN” in fundraising! Not only will we be raising money for your school; we will also be teaching your children the importance of Teamwork and Fitness. Our goal is to raise the next generation in leadership to understand that although the individual is important the team can accomplish more!

Rather than collecting pledges per laps as in previous years, we will ask your friends and family to make a flat donation to support your child as they participate in the Adventure Dash Obstacle Course. A majority of the donations will be collected online.

To set up your child’s individual web page, please follow these simple steps:

1. Go to adventuredash.pledgebrite.org/fund/brown2016/addme

2. Enter your child’s name, your email address, and then select their teacher.

You will be sent an email with the address for their personalized web page. Use this link to send to family and friends via email, Facebook, etc. Rewards will be given to the classes as they raise funds together. If you collect donations in cash/check please send those to the school in an envelope with your child’s name and class listed.

Thank you for your participation! We look forward to lots of FUN!

PreK and Kinder Round-Up

Is your child eligible to be enrolled in a Mansfield ISD pre-kindergarten or kindergarten class for the 2016-17 school year? Then join us for Pre-K & Kindergarten Roundup on Tuesday, April 12 at your child’s home elementary campus!

Pre-K & Kindergarten Roundup is a great way for parents and guardians to register their child early, tour the campus, participate in fun activities, receive necessary vaccinations, and gather valuable information for the start of the school year.

Parents and guardians can choose either of the following time slots to attend on April 12:

  • 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. OR
  • 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Get details on what you need to bring to enroll your child and other information about Pre-K & Kindergarten Roundup here.

A shot clinic will also be available for all MISD students to receive the required back-to-school immunizations. The clinic will take place at Alice Ponder Elementary School on Tuesday, April 12 from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. View shot clinic details here.

Student Holidays

Count Me In!

To continue encouraging our students to be in full attendance at school and to make the best of the educational time, we are changing the incentives a bit! With the help of PTA, we will be rewarding 2 classes at the end of the six weeks. PreK, Kinder, and 1st grade classes are competing with each other to have the LEAST absences, tardies, early releases, and discipline referrals in the 5th six weeks. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade classes are competing against each other. The winning classes will be rewarded with a pizza and drink party. Thank you for your efforts to have the kiddos make the most of their school day!
