End of Year Gifts

We know that at the end of the year, parents often like to give staff gifts and these are always gratefully received. There are, however, rules which regulate the acceptance of gifts and hospitality by Trust employees. This is because the acceptance of benefits offered like this can affect the perception of whether the Trust and its employees are acting in the public interest. Please note that gifts valued over £30 will need to be declared by the member of staff to their employer.

We would usually hold special assemblies at the end of the year, but unfortunately these won’t happen this time. We have a few special events planned for our Year 6 leavers, and will certainly give them a fine send-off, but regrettably we are not able to invite visitors into school on this occasion.

Sports Day

You will have seen that we are hoping to hold Sports Day next Wednesday afternoon. If you plan to visit the event, please adhere to the guidelines for everybody’s safety.

Sadly, Mrs Roach will leave our school on Friday. She has been a great asset and support, particularly to our younger children, and will be missed by all. From September, Mrs Goodrick will be working in Willow class and supervising lunchtimes.

We are absolutely delighted to have achieved the Eco Schools Silver Award! Congratulations to our Eco Warriors for all their hard work.

School Lunches

Next week we will be on Week 2 of the lunch menu below.

We will be having the Special Leavers lunch on Wednesday 21st July, see the menu below.

Children can decide daily whether they are having a school dinner or packed lunch.

Please ensure you discuss the menu each day with your child so they can decide what they would like to order. Once they know their choices, they will choose this each morning with their teacher during registration.

Each day there are 3 choices, either the hot dinner, the sandwich or the jacket potato with a choice of topping. The sandwich and jacket potato always come with a selection of vegetables/salad on the side and have the full pudding choice for that day.
