Second Quarter Here We Come!!
Dear Buccaneers,
I hope that everyone had a great and relaxing break! The weather was beautiful; we are very blessed to have the opportunity to spend time with family and friends after a busy first quarter.
Our second quarter is going to be full of teaching and learning... students will be demonstrating how much they have learned through Performance Tasks, essay writing, assignments, and other projects. It is imperative that students are up to date with assignments, reviewing notes, and taking the time to ask questions if things are not clear. Parents and students, this is just a reminder that we do have tutoring after school in case one of our Buccaneer Scholar needs additional support/assistance. Please review our tutoring schedule provided in our week at a glance weekly schedule.
There are many great things to celebrate as we begin this second quarter. Our students, parents, and staff have demonstrated so much resiliency during these challenging times. To our parents and our students: thank you once again for trusting us to be the providers of your education. I know that our teachers, counselors, administrators, and support staff are here to help in any way we can to ensure that our Buccaneers are achieving their potential.
We have ten weeks before the end of this semester. We can do this!
Let us work together to make this another amazing quarter!!!

UPDATE ON OUR FIRST STEAM CHALLENGE
Dear Buccaneers,
First and foremost, I want to thank you for your support during our STEAM challenge. It was a success!!!!
Ms. Barron, our STEAM Coordinator, did an amazing job at organizing and creating the lessons for our first challenge. Her work is very much appreciated. The day went really well; our teachers really helped our students complete their assignment. However, there were some problems with the voting process.
Ms. Barron revised the voting form and created a gallery with all the submissions. This will help students determine which project to vote for.
Ms. Parrenas will add the pictures of the submissions to the next video announcements.
Students will be voting on October 12th.
Thank you for your flexibility!!!
We are celebrating Custodian Appreciation Day this Wednesday
We will be celebrating our amazing custodians on Wednesday, October 14th. Please help us celebrate and thank the our custodial team for the amazing work they do to keep our school clean and functional. We also thank them for helping us distribute food every Tuesday!
We have an amazing Team!!!
