Makin' N' Bakin" is Back!

Join us for a delicious breakfast as Makin' N' Bakin reopens again on Tuesday mornings at 7:00 a.m. Come see the beautiful new kitchen which went through a complete remodel last summer. There will be a mini-menu available the first few weeks. Choose from Biscuits and Gravy, Potatoes and Gravy, French Toast, or Ham Scramble.

Camp Fire Donations

Many of us know family or friends who have been affected by the Camp Fire down in Butte County. Please consider buying a book at our Book Fair on December 3-7 for a child affected by the Camp Fire. Here is some additional information from our IVES ASB for you to consider if you would like to help:

Butte County Schools Fire Relief Fund Established to Help Schools Impacted by the Camp Fire

OROVILLE-CA The Butte County Office of Education (BCOE) has established the Butte County Schools Fire Relief Fund through the North Valley Community Foundation to help schools impacted by the Camp Fire. This fund is established to provide a one-stop location where individuals or organizations can provide support directly to schools in Butte County. Donors can either specify a district or school, designate a specific use (textbooks, clothes, etc.) or make an open donation. BCOE will allocate “open” donations to schools or districts in an amount proportional to the number of students that lost homes within those schools or districts. Schools will have discretion to spend this money as they see fit once they receive it. Donations can be made online at: https://www.nvcf.org/fund/butte-county-schools-fire-relief-fund

SPORTS UPDATES

Basketball is here!

We are excited this year to have our gym available for the beginning of the basketball season! What a difference a year makes! Our first home game for GJSHS will be against Quincy on Monday, 11/26 at 5:30 p.m. We are hosting our Basketball Tournament November 29-December 1. Please come out to support our teams.


We are able this year to offer 5/6 and 7/8 grade basketball as well for our students. Stay posted for more information about games.

eSports is here! Greenville Gamers getting ready to compete!

We are excited to announce the formation of a new team at GJSHS for 9th-12th grade students. Greenville Gamers, led by Coach Ferris, are going to be competing against other high school students in the Northern California eSports league. Practice and competitions are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-5:00 p.m. in Room 109. See Mr. Ferris for more information or use the link for more information https://www.esportsfed.org/.

IVES needs BOX TOPS!

Send your Box Tops in with students or drop them by the IVES office. The money we receive from the Box Tops goes right back into the classrooms! Thank you for your assistance!

Staff Feature

Our staff feature this week is Mrs. Marsha Roby. Mrs. Roby is a familiar face to both IVES and GJSHS. She is currently a long-term sub for our music program. Mrs. Roby has been working closely with Mr. Norman for many years and so she was able to step right in to help continue our program. She is looking forward to our Winter Concerts which will take place on Tuesday, 12/18, for GJSHS and Wednesday, 12/19, for IVES. We appreciate Mrs. Roby helping our students to continue to be able to participate in a music program. Mrs. Roby also does a great amount of volunteering in the community as well.

About Us

Indian Valley Elementary School and Greenville Junior/Senior High School are in beautiful western Plumas County. We serve the students of Indian Valley, which includes the communities of Greenville, Crescent Mills, Taylorsville, and Canyon Dam. We are essentially a K-12 school since we are located on one large campus where we share several facilities.
