2015/16 FIELD IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS DETERMINED

The 2015/16 Mavs field improvement projects have been determined. The projects are as follows:

All total of $1,803 was collected in tryout fees (someone gave us a $3 tip!). We had $557 left over from last year. After depositing the tryout funds, our field improvement fund stood at $2,384.

The board approved a new nail drag. A new nail drag was purchased for $352 and a balance of $2,032 remained.

The board approved using the per player fees of $50 per ballplayer (approximately $2,700 total from all teams) to replace the existing exterior fence from both dugouts to the outfield fence and relocate the double gate away from the dugout. The fence will be 6 feet tall from 3B dugout to LF. The fence will be 4 feet tall from 1B dugout to RF. The old fence will be hauled away. We will need some volunteers to help remove the yellow fence cap before the install and then reinstall.

The fence will be completed in the next month and will cost $4,750. A deposit of $2,375 has been paid. We think work could be completed by our October 11 clinic.

Additionally, donations have been secured in the amount of $1,500 for 25 ft. foul poles to be installed before next season! This should visually enhance our field greatly!

With signage sales, we also plan to purchase 3 pallets of red infield conditioner to further enhance the infield surface we renovated last season.

A new storage shed is also being built and totally donated. This project should be completed soon - we think :)

Thank you member families, you have made a difference in the field at Glendale Christian Church.

FEE PAYMENT #2 HAS BEEN SET

Fee payment #2 will be invoiced and mailed by Pinnacle CPA in October. Your next fee payment installment will be $250. Your invoice will likely show the total amount remaining. Just know your next payment to mail in is $250.

EQUIPMENT

The Mavs Board is working on a club wide branding and identity standards program for ALL Teams. Equipment for all teams will be a large part of this and will be a club wide branding strategy. This committee is chaired by Jeremy Boyer, new Mavs Board member and Regional Director of Operations with Buffalo Wild Wings. Jeremy is heavily involved in branding with BWW.

We are working on some club programs for equipment next year. This would include team shoes and team helmets. Please keep this in mind before buying anything as we proceed through the fall and winter months.

Communications

We are going to start using Team Snap for communications and reminders for games and practices. This will help during the season. You will receive an email to sign up. Please forward to other family members that might want to get updates on the team and the schedule.
