Aquarium of the Pacific Field Trip With YPI, April 13th!

The After School Academy will be taking a select group of IIMCA Scholars to the Aquarium of the Pacific, Wednesday, April 13th. IIMCA Scholars will be learning about dozens species of sea animals as they view the many exhibits. Our Scholars will also have the chance to get hands on with sharks and sting rays at the Shark Lagoon. This is guaranteed to be much fun! The aquarium is located in Long Beach, CA. All logistic of this trip have been organized by YPI, the After School Academy. Please contact Mr. Omar for all trip inquiries.

Wednesday College Challenge!

This week, the Colleges/Homeroom Classes will battle it out to see who has the most PRIDE! College Classes earn College Challenge points by exhibiting team work, excellent academic traits, and positive attitudes. Each week the Colleges will meet up for a physical challenge, which will help determine the final points of the week. The team with the most college points will be crowned the Kings & Queens of the week.

8th Grade Complexions Ballet Field Trip! April 15th!

IIMCA's 8th Grade Scholars will be escorted to the ballet show, Complexions! The trip is available to all qualifying 8th Graders. Interested 8th Grade Scholars are encouraged to sign up for the trip to the ballet with, Mr. Dougherty. Field Trip Slips will be issued Tuesday, April 15th, on a first come first serve basis. This trip is being offered to 8th Grade Scholars only, please encourage your scholar to attend this ballet.

IIMCA's " A Day In The Life Of A 6th Grader!" April 14th.

IIMCA will be proudly hosting, ICEF Inglewood Elementary's 5th Graders,on our campus, Thursday, April 14. The ICEF Inglewood 5th Graders will be participating in IIMCA's First, "A Day In The Life Of A 6th Grader!" event, here on our campus. Select 6th Grade Scholars will be assisting with this event by, leading guided tours of our campus, participating in the Middle School Q&A Panels, and being roll model scholars.

National Junior Honor Society Scholar's Retreat! April 13th!

8th Grade National Junior Honor Society members will participate in a Scholarship Conference this Wednesday, April 13th. The conference will focus on the Critical Study of William Shakespeare -enhancing critical thinking, critical reading and critical writing skills.

Time: 12:30pm - 5:30pm

Audience: Mandatory for 8th Graders

Snack: 12:30pm - 1:00pm

1:00pm - 3:30pm Workshop, Discussions, "Shakespeare's Universalism)

3:30pm - 4:00pm SUPPER

4:00pm - 5:30pm Theatrical Presentation: "A Midsummer Night's Dream"

Hey 8th Grade Parents,

This is a friendly reminder, May 2nd, 2016, is the final day to make payments towards your 8th Grade Culmination Dues. We are currently accepting payments for Culmination Dues. Please see Mr. Engram, if you are ready to make a payment towards 8th Grade Culmination Dues.

If you have not received your 8th Grade Culmination Packet, please stop by The Maine Office pick one up.

The Culmination Packet contains information regarding, Culmination, Grad Night, and 8th Grade Luncheon. We look forward to seeing your child enjoy all the 8th grade activities they choose. Please feel free to reach out to me, Mr. Engram, with any question regarding this matter.

ICEF's View Park High School personally invites our 8th Grade parents to visit their school and find out more information about the incredible work that is being done on their campus.

View Park High School is ICEF's flagship school, and is also the only high school in the ICEF Family of schools. With so many ICEF families culminating into the 9th Grade, spots at View Park High School are filling up fast. It is not too late to reserve your scholars seat, visit View Park High School this week, to turn in your application. Application are available in IIMCA's Main Office.

Computer Lab, Now Open After School!

Hey IIMCA Parents, & Scholars,

The IIMCA After School Computer Lab Is Now Open! Our Scholars will now have the luxury to utilize our Computer Lab after hours. Scholars will have access to our computer services, and internet, to finish homework assignments, projects, and reports.

IIMCA Computer Lab Office Hours Are:


1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

In order to take advantage of the After School Computer Lab, you must email our Computer Aide, Mr. Bryant, to reserve your child's lab time. Mr. Bryant can be emailed at:

College Wear Wednesday.

College Wear Wednesday is a big hit on the IIMCA campus. We love seeing or scholars represent their favorite college. It is a great way to keep college on the minds of our young people. In order to stick with the collegiate atmosphere, scholars that chose to wear a college top are required wear the standard uniform bottoms. Jean and athletic style bottoms, will only be permitted on official Free Dress Days. We appreciate your support with of our College Wear Wednesday! Welcome Back Parents, Guardians, & Scholars!

Hello, we are excited to welcome you all back to continue the second semester of the school year. Congratulations, we are almost there! With only 12 weeks of the school year remaining, IIMCA is steadily focused on encouraging our scholars to cross the finish line stronger than they started. These last few weeks will be filled with empowerment, focused learning, field trips, school spirit days, fun scholar events, and much more.
