Teacher and Staff Shoutouts!!!
Staff Recognition for February
She wanted to become a librarian for many reasons, but she would have the opportunity to impact so many lives. But she says that each student and teacher's impact on her heart is beyond anything she could have imagined.
Mrs. Cowham had the pleasure of representing Bear Branch Elementary as their Teacher of the Year in 2016 and was honored with District and Region 6 Teacher of the Year. “I am honored to represent Bear Branch again as the February 2021 Teacher of the Month, and I accept on behalf of all of the hard-working MISD librarians, tech liaisons, technology instructional specialists, and the many, many others that play an important role in educating our students daily but may not be a classroom teacher. It truly takes a village to make the magic happen.”
In her 7th year teaching at Bear Branch and her 21st year in education, she hopes to continue her legacy at Bear Branch as our librarian. “It is home for me. I absolutely love my job, the staff, students, and parents. There is nowhere I would rather be than in MISD!”
Staff of the Month - Caitlin Moye
I have had the amazing opportunity to work with Magnolia ISD for approximately three years, two of which have been spent with the ABLE Program. I have twin boys who are beyond excited to join the BBE family soon! Currently, I am working on finishing my degree to begin my teaching certification. Because of the atmosphere and inspiration that the ABLE Program provides, my goal is to become a special education teacher within this district that has become my home. It is a blessing to work with students to watch them grow and help them reach their full potential.
