Register online now. There are still a few seats left. See schedule below.
Learn Akoma Ntoso from Fabio Vitali and Monica Palmirani, the founders of Akoma Ntoso, the XML-based legislative/parliamentary open document standard. Hosted the day after the United Nations International meeting, Achieving Greater Transparency in Legislatures through the Use of Open Document Standards, the training will also update you on the latest recommendations and discussions from the international meeting.
"Akoma Ntoso defines a set of recommendations and guidelines for e-services in a world-wide context. This framework is an essential prerequisite for interlinking and web-enabling Parliaments and Courts. It addresses information content and recommends technical policies and specifications for connecting information systems across countries."--AkomaNtoso.org
Learn how standardized, machine-readable documents can help your government open up its documents, ease sharing across government(s) and with the public, and the best-practices and tools for implementation. With two tracks, you can delve into the design and implementation of Akoma Ntoso (great for developers and IT staff), or into a policy and implementation focused track (for policy makers and drafting staff).
Agenda forthcoming. Doors open at 9 AM, concludes at 5 PM.
Registration through Eventbrite.
