What We Learned This Week

Reading – Our story this week was The School Mural. The students in the story painted a mural as a celebration of their school’s 50th Anniversary so we created our own murals. We also retold the important parts of the story and made connections with the text.

Writing – We continued our "How-To" writing unit by writing How to Blow a Bubble. The kiddos really had fun testing out bubble gum to help with their brainstorming and rough draft and created a craft to go along with their writing. Their final copies will be up in the pod.

Math We have been working on identifying equal parts of a shape using words like halves, thirds and fourths. We talked about how just because a shape is divided into parts that doesn't mean it shows eqaul parts. We will be finishing up this unit next week and will take our last unit test on Wednesday.
