for the Mojave Desert
Location, Climate, and Geography
The Mojave Desert is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. It gets pretty hot during the day. The highest temperature recorded by and American citizen was 57 degrees Celsius or 134.6 degrees Fahrenheit. At night the temperature gets as low as 8 degrees Fahrenheit. This desert extends East from the inland of the San Gabriel and San Bernadino Mountains in southern California into Southern Nevada and Northwestern Arizona.
Survival Steps
1. You will need plenty of water.
2. Search for something in the Mojave Desert that is flammable so you can stay warm at night.
3. Have tall sturdy boots for hunting so snakes won't be as sly as they used to be.
4. Bring old equipment for shelter or you can search from the Mojave desert.
Wildlife of the Mojave Desert
Kit Fox
The Kit Fox looks very friendly, right? Well if you said yes then you are correct! The Kit Fox is an animal that runs away from predator very easily. The Kit Fox is a very safe animal to be around unless the the Kit Fox runs away
Desert Tortoise
The Desert Tortoise is a safe animal because it stays underground. But when the Desert Tortoise does come above the ground watch out! The Desert Tortoise carries Salmonella.
Greater Roadrunner
The Greater Roadrunner is a bird that cannot kill except for there prey like worms or bugs. They are not harmful to the human race whatsoever.
Desert Paintbrush
The Desert Paintbrush is an edible plant and is not harmful.
Creosote Bush
The Creosote Bush is a poisonous bush which means that the Creosote Bush is not edible.
Joshua Tree
The Joshua Tree is a non-edible plant/tree because it isn't technically a tree it is almost like a cactus. The Joshua Tree is made of Bamboo.
