Parking Lot Safety

Our parking lot is a busy place, especially at dismissal time. Please make sure to use extreme caution so that everyone stays safe. Please use the picture below to understand how the parking lot flow works. It's important that if you are driving up to drop off or pick up that you remain in your vehicle. For dismissal time, please do not arrive prior to 1:50 pm (1:20 on Wednesday). This will help to relieve the back up of cars onto Cornelius Pass Road. If you are waiting in line and students haven't come out yet, please turn off your cars to minimize harmful car fumes children and staff are breathing. Thank you!

Arrival Procedure

We are excited to return to a more typical start time this year! Our doors will open at 7:30 a.m. for students who will want to eat breakfast (free for all students). Students coming for breakfast will go directly to the cafeteria, pick up breakfast and sit in an assigned seat. They must stay in the breakfast location until it is time to go to class. All students who ride the bus will be let in upon arrival and have the opportunity to have breakfast.

Students who are not eating breakfast go to the gym. They will sit in lines by class until they are dismissed to go to class.

Parents cannot enter the building or walk their students to class. You may walk them to the gate or the gym door. If you choose to do this, please park in the parking lot.

Volunteers

We are looking forward to having volunteers in our school this year! For the beginning of the year, we want to focus on setting our routines with the students and developing powerful relationships. Depending on current health and safety guidelines, we hope to welcome volunteers during quarter one. More information to come! This is a great time to be sure that your background check is current! Go to: https://www.hsd.k12.or.us/Page/163 to fill out the volunteer application.
