34th Annual SWTJC Turkey Trot
The 34th Annual Southwest Texas Junior College Turkey Trot will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at the Uvalde SWTJC campus. All events start and finish at the SWTJC fountain area located behind the Administration Building (Heart of the SWTJC Uvalde Campus).
Flat fast course! Showers and dressing areas available. T-shirts to all participants. Walkers Welcome! Race Day Registration.

FAFSA Nights.....Spread the Word
Uvalde High School will be hosting a series of FAFSA Nights in November for Seniors who would like assistance with filling out their Financial Aid. On these days, SWTJC representatives will be present and help in completing FAFSA from 5pm - 7pm, in the UHS library.
Items necessary to complete the FAFSA:
• Driver's license and Social Security card
• Parent’s Social Security number and dates of birth
• W-2 forms and other records of money earned in 2017
• 2017 US Income Tax Return (IRS Form 1040,1040A,1040EZ or 1040TEL)
• Records of untaxed income, such as welfare, social security or veterans benefits

UHS Mariachi Extravaganza
You are invited to the Uvalde High School Mariachi student performance Mariachi Extravaganza on Thursday, November 15th at 7:00 pm in the UHS John H. Harrell Auditorium. Headliners of the Mariachi Extravaganza are Mariachi Los Soberanos with special guest Beatriz.

Save the Date for a Madrigal Dinner
The UHS Choir Booster Club is hosting a Renaissance Style Dinner on November 5th at
6:00 pm in the Uvalde High School Cafeteria. Tickets are $10 each which include dinner catered by Sunrise Restaurant along with entertainment. The entertainment will consist of UHS Choir students singing acapella Renaissance Style music in costume along with the UHS Theater Production. If you are interested in purchasing tickets please contact any Uvalde High School Choir Student or Karen McCarty at kmccarty2313@uvaldecisd.net.
Volunteer Trainings
As the 2018-2019 School Year kicks-off, so does the need for volunteers. Volunteers are a valued asset to our district. Individuals wishing to volunteer on campuses and with student organizations must attend a Volunteer Training and complete a background check. The following Volunteer Trainings have been scheduled:
