Principal's Message
This letter comes as we finish our first week of in-person learning! It has been a joy to see our scholars back on campus, hear the laughter, and see smiling eyes (faces behind the masks)! There was a bit of normalcy on campus this week as we all learned new procedures to keep everyone safe! Our TRE scholars did an outstanding job following directions and guidelines for masks and physical distancing. Of course, we have some tweaks to still make but are off to an amazing start to the rest of our school year!
Our morning drop off procedures are going flawlessly with little wait time in the lanes! Thank you families for staying in your vehicles and trusting us to get your children where they need to go safely! This support has been much appreciated and allowed us to get our intake procedures in place quickly and smoothly. Our pick up procedures are still needing some tweaks, and we will be trying a couple new ideas to make this process better. You can help this process by coming to campus during your child's specific dismissal time. Thank you for your patience as we continue to strive to improve.
In order to meet ODE guidance for physical distancing for reopening, we have had to make changes to classroom arrangements. Many of our classrooms are normally set up with tables lending themselves for collaboration; however, with the current guidance, tables are not always feasible in all classrooms. Therefore, we currently have some classrooms temporarily using flexible seating arrangements while our district obtains additional desks. We received a delivery of desks Friday and more to come.
Our Return to In-Person Learning Family Handbook (linked) was updated today to reflect any tweaks we have made during this week. Please review the handbook - specific changes have been highlighted in yellow. This resource will continue to be updated as changes happen.
Thank you Tiger Families for all you have done to prepare your children for our return including the use of masks and physical distancing. We appreciate your partnership! Together, we are making TRE a great place to learn! Have a wonderful month!

How do we help young people become more resilient, generous, and emotionally intelligent?
Family 'Responsibility' Conversation Starters:
- You really want a new game, but you need a new pair of shoes. How do you decide between wants and needs so that you can spend your money responsibly? Talk about wants and needs in your life and how you’ve learned to tell the difference!
- What are the responsibilities you have at home? How do people know what they are responsible for? Which responsibilities are you really good at?
- What’s something that you want for our home? Would getting this thing demonstrate Responsibility with our time, money, or energy? If so, how might we earn this special something by showing Responsibility?
Immunizations Exclusion Begins February 17th
