Good morning, last Friday our Varsity Tennis competed at their district tournament. Jainel Patel, Jorge Urbina, Alejandra Mares, and Roy Castellanos will be advancing to regionals. These players will be playing in Lubbock next week, home of the Texas Tech Red Raiders; thanks to the hard work of our players, I'll be visiting my Alma Mater! Jorge and Jaineel are now two-time District Champs, and Alejandra and Roy were able to advance after coming back in their match to win in a tiebreaker set. All our players performed at a high level last Friday, and many of them were able to take home some medals. I am very proud of our team. Thank you for all the support.

Congrats to these guys for going out and competing. Many of them played their first rounds of golf this year. A lot of improvement throughout the season! We are looking to come back even better and stronger next year. We would love to add some young ladies as well!!!
Everyone one of these young men is a dual and some three or even four sport athletes.
Thank you for your continued support of western Hills athletics and our student-athletes!

Sergeant Aubrey McDade delivered a power message / Activity about chain of command and holding each other accountable. Thank you for FWISD for providing leadership from the Tomlinson Center For Leadership Program.
Also, our kids graduated from boot camp today 4/8/22. A 3-week process of training our kids the importance of having honor, enthusiasm, and the right mindset to attack each day. The video below speaks volumes.

North Side HS: Athletes of the Month
Senior Varsity Soccer - Bruno Rosales (no photo), has set the standard of what can be accomplished for those athletes returning next season. We have been using gametraka (gps tracking system) all soccer season to measure work rate, total distance, top speed, and hard running efforts. In the last game of the season a WIN v. Arlington Heights, Bruno became the first soccer player at North Side to lead in all the metrics. He covered 6.2 miles, ran over 2, 200 meters (22 soccer fields), had a top speed of 19.6 mi/h, a work rate of 96yd/ min and had 41 hard running efforts.
Junior Varsity Track - Abby Martinez (pictured below), leads by example with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic, she works hard on and off the track to better herself and those around her. She finally saw her hard work pay off when she set a new PR in the 800m race. Other Sports: Varsity Cross Country & Varsity Cheer GPA 3.60
