Awesome
- Family and friends getting together to celebrate milestones.
- Wrestling Season
- text message from daughter while out on walk in the sunshine yesterday: "also my freckle population is increasing which indicates warmer days ahead."
- Awesome is when your young adult kids buy you restaurant and hotel reservations in NYC and Boston so you will come see them. Its awesome to have 2 out of 3 kids "off the payroll".
- Recently celebrating our respective January wedding anniversaries with my parents was awesome. My husband and I have been married 28 years, but my parents have been married for 68 years! They are an inspiration to me!
Career Day
We consider this a beta test for planning a similar engagement next year. We may look to tie in with some of the grade level projects by having business reps be audience members for presentations.

Projects
We will continue this important work next year and I hope:
- Look for ways to provide students even more options to pursue their passions.
- Design building wide/or a district-wide celebration of the students' work with our community.
It might have been easy to not even try to implement this. When it is difficult to find time to take a breath in our work, this work could have easily been allowed to slide into compliance mode. Instead, I believe value was found in this work as teacher leaders led deep conversations about why, how and what regarding students engaging in projects.
All of you should be proud of your work as the students are of their products.
