You will receive the following before March 12.
- Teacher iPads - K-5 & specialty teachers
- Student 1:1 iPads - grades 4 & 5
- Student shared iPads: 1 to 5 ratio for grades 1-3
- MacMinis (including hardware)

Teacher iPad Directions
- Before receiving the iPads, teachers must sign up for an Apple ID using their NLCI / work emails (@sheritageoak.org) They may choose any password.

- Teacher will sign the agreement upon receiving the iPad
- Principal will file all agreements
- Review the NLCI iPad Student Handbook
- Amend and modify the handbook to meet the needs of your school.
- Send a copy of your NLCI iPad Student Handbook to your ED.
- Share and review the handbook with staff so they understand the expectation.
- Determine the strategy for conducting parent and student meetings to review the content of the handbook.
- Determine the process for collection the required Student and Parent Forms.
- Review the Managed Apple ID letter.
- Amend and modify the letter to meet the needs of your school.
- Send a copy of your amended letter to your ED.
- Utilize your school’s methods to send out the communication.
- Contact Matt Norcross once you have sent out the communication so he can generate Managed Apple IDs for students new to the 1:1 iPad program.
- Have Technology Teacher Leader work with Matt and MDM training
- Review the iPad Program Parent letter.
- Amend and modify the letter to meet the needs of your school.
- Send a copy of your amended letter to your ED
- Share and review the letter with staff so they understand the expectation.
- Utilize your school’s methods to send out the communication.

Q: How do I sign up for an Apple ID?

Q: What email do I use for my Apple ID?
A: You must use your @heritageoak.com
Q: Can your Apple ID and work email have the same password?
A: Yes. What about a different password? Yes
Q: What does "AD Credentials" mean FOR TEACHERS?
A: First name (dot) last name (i.e., toby.grosswald) and @heritageoak.org. Use the password that was provided to you
Q: Can I use my Apple ID that I already have from another account?
A: No. You must create an Apple ID with your @sheritageoak.org email.
Q: How should I update the iOS on my iPad?
A: Go to Settings/General/Software Update and click “Download and Install”.
Q: What if my iPad won’t let me get into an app after I update?
A: Your apps may need updated. Go to App Store/Updates and update any apps that need it.
Q: What is 'Airplay'?
A: AirPlay is a technology that Apple put into their more recent devices to allow them to wirelessly mirror the content of one screen to another. This content can be music, movies, or other multimedia content. A teacher, for instance, can use AirPlay to wirelessly present their lesson to a class or demonstrate an app, while students could use it to share their work with their peers. Teachers will be instructed on the why, what and how of 'Airplay'.
