Educator Effectiveness

Summary Evaluation Year Tools and Resources

Summary Year Eval Cycle Overview

As a summary year teacher, you will have 3 mini-observations over the course of the school year. New teachers have 4 and the additional observation is completed by Dave Ludy. Formal feedback will be provided in Frontline for each mini. You only need to log into Frontline to acknowledge feedback and to answer two reflection questions at the end of the eval process.

You do not need an SLO or PPG but you do need a SLT SMARTGoal.

Domains 2/3 are considered observable. Most information for those will come from classroom observation.

Domains 1/4 are not considered observable so we will meet in late winter to discuss these domains. You will need to provide artifacts for these two domains but they do not need to be uploaded in Frontline. Instead, you can print and bring hard copies or you can create a Google Folder for electronic documents that can be shared with me two make the process easier.

The process wraps up with an End-of-Cycle meeting to discuss component levels and rationales.

If you have any questions about this process at any time, please reach out for clarification.

Below you will find various resources and tools to support you in the evaluation process. Please remember that summary year teachers have all of these resources in hard copy as well.
