Mrs. Goodson's (DHS) English 1 students are creating genre-crossing movie trailers. The students are taking an existing film (say, a comedy) and create a film preview that presents the film as a different genre (for example, a horror film). This is accomplished through editing and splicing scenes, adding new, anxiety-producing music and sound effects, and adding a new voice-over introduction.

Website of the week: Wizer Me
Wizer is a free service that calls itself a tool for creating "blended worksheets." In my opinion, it's so much more than that.
You can add video, audio, images and a variety of question types, all wrapped in a beautiful, engaging & easy to use app. And, you can those create interactive assignments in a variety of ways: fill-in-the-blank activities with instant feedback, interactive image assignments, opportunities for graphing and so much more.
