4th Grade News
Week of December 5th
Grandparents' Day Tomorrow!
Students need to come to school in either their Sunday best or their StG dress uniform tomorrow. Visitors should make their way to the Salem Theater for 10:30 a.m. There is an elevator for any visitors needing assistance. After the performance, we invite all visitors back to the classroom for cookies and punch. If your child is checking out for the day, they must check out with a fourth grade teacher.
Oral Book Reports
Oral Book Reports will begin this Thursday and go through next Tuesday. Your child should be ready to present on Thursday.
Book Night
Wednesday night is family night at the book fair. Please bring your children, browse through the selections, enjoy refreshments, and enjoy a special visit from Santa! There will be no homework assigned Wednesday night.
Homework
Due to Grandparents' Day and Book Night, we will not be assigning homework on Tuesday or Wednesday nights. Enjoy the time with your families!
1st Trimester TAG students' report cards going home in this week's red folder.
Due to the Equations tournament continuing beyond the end of our school trimester, individual TAG report cards were not included with the rest of the first trimester reports. If your child was in the first trimester TAG class, Equations, please look for his/her report card in this week's red folder. Thank you! Peggy Armstrong
Rehearsal at Saint George's
Next Thursday, December 15th, students must be dropped off for 8:00 a.m. at Saint George's Church on Saint Charles Avenue. We will be rehearsing for that evenings Christmas service. The students will ride a bus back to school with their teachers.
Christmas Party
Our Christmas party will be on Friday, December 16th. There is not aftercare on that day and students must be picked up to go home by noon.
TED Talk
We have been speaking to the students a lot about being polite, being observant, making eye contact when they are speaking to others, being a self advocate, and being engaged listeners. The above TED talk is all about the power of two simple words, "thank you".
Buddy Time!
Today, we enjoyed helping our buddies write letters to Santa. Ask your child about their visit with their buddy.
Have a great week!
Emily, Meghan, Lindsey, Peggy, and Linda.
