Parent and Family Newsletter July 21, 2021
"One Team, One Dream" is our theme for this school year!
Welcome Back to school!
We are so excited to begin this new school year and can't wait to see all of our returning students and also welcome our new first grade students that are new to our building. It is going to be a great year!
We need your help! Please let me know if you are interested in serving on our PTA board and/or our School Council. Each group meets four times a year. Parent support and communication is key to the success of our school. I encourage you to continue to be involved with the many activities we have here as well as in our classrooms.
My door is always open so feel free to call or email me with any questions or concerns you may have.
Looking forward to seeing you all at Open House!
Ms. Susan Ambrose, Principal
School start and end times:
Breakfast: 8:45-9:10.
No students may arrive before 8:45 am.
Bis Transportation:
School Bus Transportation is not Guaranteed.
If you didn't complete the SCCPSS Transportation Registration link sent last week by the district to request school bus transportation, please plan on your child being a car rider to and from school.
Remember that completing the school bus registration link doesn't guarantee your child will be provided a bus route.
The transportation is working hard to ensure as many students can be routed as possible within their guidelines.
The transportation department will inform parents before August 4th if their child has been routed.

Student Success Expo Savannah Mall
Expo Kicks Off New School Year:
We're going forward to school this year…no looking back! Savannah-Chatham County Public School students head to class Wednesday, August 4 for five day a week, in person instruction. To make certain our families have all the information they need to return to school, SCCPSS will host a FORWARD TO SCHOOL Expo at the Savannah Mall Saturday, July 24 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
At the Expo, SCCPSS staff will be on hand to answer your questions for returning to the classroom, including safety, school nutrition, and athletics. Registration assistance will be available for families who have moved here recently or have changed residences. Please bring your proof of residency.
Open house dates, school supply lists, and calendars for the SY 21/22 are just a few of the things you can learn at the Expo! In addition, St. Joseph's/Candler will provide free height and weight checks and athletic screenings.
