On Monday's students will work with their Mentor Monday Eagle Blocks.
Eagle Block Travel Days are Tuesday's, Wednesday's and Thursday's.
On Friday's there will be school-wide engagement activities.
The 3 Eagle Block Travel Categories:
Academic Intervention - This is support for your classes! MAIN FOCUS!
Study Hall - Various study hall locations such as cafeteria chill, LC (quiet), and teachers can host study halls in their rooms.
Eagle Time - Engaging activities for both staff and students. Students can choose these on a daily basis if they have not been pulled for intervention or workroom. (Students cannot have D/F in any class to attend).
Example ideas: Basketball w/ Singleton, Rugby w/ Zornow, Singing w/ Halye, Dancing w/ Durrett, Recess w/ Rigsby, Robotics w/ Tate, Graphic Design w/ Burton, Fashion w/ Tynes, Walking w/ Powell, Sewing w/ Summit, etc.
Students can ask teachers to host certain things, too!
Morning Drop-Off & Afternoon Pick-Up
Parents, please follow all directions of staff in the morning and afternoons for pick-up and drop-off. Please pull up to the end of the drop-off loop so that as many students can be dropped off or picked up as possible. Everyone working together will make the process much smoother. We appreciate your support with this process.
Also, we will be returning to releasing all students from our car rider line at 8:45 am each morning. This is to decrease the competition of parents and busses leaving the complex at the same time, causing an increase of traffic on Bulldog Way. We want to thank everyone for your patience in this process. We are always looking to get better!
Message from Nurse Mullins:
Parents, if you would like for your student to have over-the-counter medication at school, please complete this form, sign it, and email it to Nurse Mullins. YOU will also need to bring an unopened bottle of the medication - your student may not bring it in themselves. If you have any questions, please contact Nurse Mullins at smullins@glnd.k12.va.us.

GCPS Fall Intersessions Registration Open!
Registration for the Goochland County Public Schools Fall intersession is now open until Monday, September 25th! An intersession is an opt-in, multi-day learning experience that combines research, creativity, and fun with no cost to families. Each intersession will provide a unique learning opportunity that merges student interest and teacher passion. From Be a Disney Imagineer to Just-in-Time SAT Prep, students will have the chance to explore a wide range of topics.
Intersession will run Monday-Friday, October 16-20, 2023 from 8:00 - 2:30 at Goochland Elementary School (elementary sessions) and 9:00 - 3:30 at the Secondary Complex (secondary sessions). GCPS will provide student transportation to and from designated stops across the county at no cost and breakfast and lunch for purchase. Transportation will only be provided at the beginning and end of a full day of intersessions. Students attending a half day intersession will need to make arrangements for mid-day transportation.
Registration is based on the student’s current grade level. Please understand that availability of these sessions is contingent on enrollment numbers. Sessions may not be offered if enrollment is low, so we encourage all to register soon! In the event that a course reaches student capacity, students will be added to a waitlist automatically.
Visit https://gcpsintersessions2023.coursestorm.com/ for a complete list of course offerings and to register!
If you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out to our Intersession Coordinators, Caroline Van Ness and Catherine Richards, at intersessions@glnd.k12.va.us.
