The Great Depression

What is the great depression?
The Great Depression was a time where lots of people had no money and lots were unemployed. Banks did not have money for the people who put in money. Some people died from diseases. Some families had nothing to eat somedays. It was very hard.
Leaders
Herbert Hoover
Herbert Hoover was the president in this time.
Franklin D. Roosevelt
Franklin was also one of the leaders in this time.
Economy
The stock market crash was how the great depression. Because of the crash, money was lost, buissnesses sut down, and lots were unemployed. The estimated amount of people who lost their jobs is about 15 million.
The Dust Bowl
The dust bowl was a huge sandstorm during the great depression. It's important, because this was very destructive and deadly.
