Place of worship - Muslims are required to worship 5 times a day.

praying to their god prophet Muhammad


How did it spread - After the death of Muhammad the Islamic state started to expand rapidly through remarkable success. They converted non-believers to Islam and by military conquests of the Islamic community opponent. Abu Bakr, the first Caliph (after Muhammad’s death) ( chief muslim of civil and religious ruler, the successor of Muhammad. The caliph ruled in Baghdad until 1258.) continued to abolish paganism. ( A religion that has many gods or goddesses, considers the earthly Holiness and does not have a central authority.)

Ramadan: Month of Fasting - Ramadan is not a holy day to muslims but a holy month, it is the 9th month of the muslim year. In which the Quran was sent down as a guidance for the people.


Id Al-Adha - Festival of sacrifice: Major Islamic festival that takes place at the end of the Hajj


Ashura: Remembering Shilte Martyr Husayn - Islamic holiday observed on the 10th of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic year.

The spiritual leaders are actually called Imams.



When did it start - It started in 610. Muhammad was meditating in a cave and received a vision, a religious vision. That was when he created the Islamic religion.


How do they worship - In reality they actually worship God, they just do it in a different way and with a different name. His name is Allah and he is to be the same as Jahweh Elohim. Jahweh Elohim is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. They know this because Muhammed put it in the Quran.



How many followers are there today and where - There are 1.5 million Muslims who follow the Islamic Religion. 21% of the world follows the religion.
