Computer Science Coding Party
Tuesday, December 5, 2023 - 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Computer science education week is an annual call to action to inspire K-12 students to learn computer science, advocate for equity, and celebrate the contributions of students, teachers, and partners to the field. Each school may enroll one team consisting of one teacher and six students for an immersive, hands-on technology day at the CESA 10 Conference Center. The goal is to take this information and enthusiasm back to your school and implement a coding day in your district - with our support, of course! Teachers will receive our Hour of Code Toolkit including complete event planning support, lesson ideas, and tech support. Activities are most appropriate for grades 5-9, but all are welcome.
Learning objectives include:
- Inspire K12 students to learn computer science,
- Understand the importance of computer science education in today's digital world.
- Discover the diverse applications and career opportunities in the field of computer science.
