Treviño Coach's Philosophy
Domingo Treviño's Coaching philosophy is to promote enthusiasm, good sportsmanship, and improve skills and knowledge of the game. Through athletics, we will mold students/athletes to develop and strengthen their leadership skills, communication skills, and good character traits to succeed on and off the field.

District Volleyball Tournament 8th Grade B
La Joya — The Treviño Lady Huskies (2-1 non-district record) brings home a 2nd place performance on Saturday in their first district tournament. The Lady Huskies started out hot on their first game-winning match against Cesar Chavez Middle School in two sets. In the second game, the Lady Huskies defeated Memorial Middle School and moved on to the championship game. The team fought till the end but came out short, thus, earning a 2nd place trophy.

Districts Volleyball Tournament 7th A
La Joya — The Treviño Lady Huskies (2-1 non-district record) start their season opener tournament with a slow start after falling short to Chavez Middle School. The Lady Huskies keep their composure and win out the rest of their tournament games obtaining the tournament's Consolidation Trophy.

Districts Volleyball Tournament 8th A
La Joya — The Treviño Lady Huskies 8th Grade A with high spirits during Thursday's game against Brown Middle School. The Lady Huskies impressed through the game with teamwork, great communication skills, and school pride. The Lady Huskies' next game will be defending their home court against Alamo.

Huskies Win Season Opener 8th Grade
La Joya -- The crowd at Tuesday's non-district contest between our Domingo Trevino Huskies (La Joya, TX) and the visiting team J.D. Salinas Huskies (La Joya, TX) observed the revival of a long time rivalry match of The BATTLE OF THE 5 MILE LINE. The Treviño squad outscored J.D. Salinas by a count of 26-14. Thus, the victory came by a team effort, noticeable offensive performance by Reymundo Muñiz ( 2 TD and 112 yards rushing), Yahir Trujillo ( 1TD and 78 yards rushing), and Travis (1 TD 58 receiving yards) helped the Huskies put early points on the board. On the defensive side, Rodolfo Salazar and Sebastian Morales covered ground sideline to sideline generating 3 forced fumbles. Coming up next, the Huskies will be hosting De Leon Middle School next Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

Huskies Season Opener 7th Grade
La Joya -- It was an amazing atmosphere on Saturday morning at the Juarez-Lincoln football field. The Huskies dominated the first game against JD Salinas 28-7. Thereafter, the Huskies played a great battle against Memorial Middle School and finishing the game at an even 21-21.
