Procedure Reminders
Car Rider Reminders:
Beginning Monday, August 23rd, we will complete car rider arrival at 8am. Now that everyone has had time to see traffic patterns, we must enforce our school starting time of 8am. Students can be dropped off as early as 7:25am. School traffic is much lighter before 7:45am.
Students that arrive after 8am must have an adult come into the building with them. You will also need to know your child's lunch number to receive their tardy slip.
Early Dismissals:
Remember that there should be no checkouts after 2pm without prior administrative approval. Remember that our system requires you to show your driver's license in order to check out your child.
Visitors:
At this time, we are not having visitors in the building. We will begin Volunteer training at the end of the month. Please watch for an email next week about training options.
Health Reminders:
* Social distancing and masks are strongly encouraged at school daily. There is a rise in cases in our county and our school has had quite a few as well. We want to do everything we can to keep everyone at school each day!
* When a positive case is reported, we will investigate who has been in close contact to the positive person. These names go on a spreadsheet that is sent to the Department of Public Health. DPH will contact the close contacts to discuss proper protocol. The school will then send a DPH letter to parents of the close contacts. This is typically done through email so that you will receive the information faster.
Backpack Buddies
Backpack Buddies' purpose is to provide nourishment on weekends and holidays when school is not in session and your child does not have access to breakfast and lunch provided by the school system. Food will be distributed each Thursday or Friday for your student to bring home for the weekend. If you are interested, point your phone’s camera to this QR code at the bottom to fill out the form digitally.
