Engagement-Relevancy-Relationships

CAPTAIN'S LOG

Thank you again to each of you to help make our first day of school a success. We have some areas to improve, but otherwise it was a great start to an amazing year. This is another great example of working with students to help create a great opportunity for building relationships. WE ARE ALL IN! Just a few pics from the day!

Back to School Reminder next Tuesday

We will have back to school night next Tuesday, 6:00-7:30pm. We will have a Title I parent breakout session starting at 5:30 in in room 34. All teachers are expected to attend. We will continue to use the bell schedule and parents will rotate for each hour. Please expect about 5-7 minutes in each session. Please dress professionally and be ready to share the highlights of your classroom. Topics could include communication, deadlines, curriculum topics, contact information, etc. This is a great opportunity to start sharing your WHY.

Important- Update to ALD Doctor's Appointments Requests

The district has updated the process for ALD requests with regards doctor's appointments. District-wide, all buildings are asking for documentation verifying any doctors appointments. Staff will need to select the "Illness/ Injury" drop down and put "doctor's appointment" in the description. After you return, you can scan the note provided by your medical provider and upload it to your leave request or you can place a hard copy in an the envelope provided outside Dr. Sayre's office. It is the best documentation and easiest way to ensure the credibility of our leave system.

Evacuation Drill During PLT

Wednesday we will have our first Evacuation Drill. This will occur on PLT time (11:00-11:32). Please have your evacuation folders updated and ready to share procedures with your PLT students. We will be going to the athletic field.

Crisis Response Feedback Form

To circle back around to our active shooter training, please fill out the feedback on three focus areas. We will use this information to focus future communication, training, and process development.
