Town recognizes Veterans

The Town of Sunnyvale held the annual Veteran's Day Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Before the start of the event, the Cavanaugh Flight Museum conducted a historic warbird flyover, with a T-6 Texan and a T-34 Mentor. The Town would like to extend their thanks to Council Member Larry Allen and the Cavanaugh Flight Museum for making this happen!

Town Manager Susan Guthrie kicked off the event with a welcoming statement, followed by a reading of the inception of Veteran's Day by Director of Administration Rachel Ramsey. Mayor Saji George was introduced and Councilmember Larry Allen gave the invocation. Boy Scout Troop 108 presented our nation's colors and recited the Pledge of Allegiance and Sunnyvale High School Choir soloist Kyrsta Rodden performed the National Anthem and God Bless America.

On behalf of the Town, the Son's of the American Revolution handed out commemorative medals to the Sunnyvale Veterans in attendance.

This event was a great way to recognize our Town's Veterans and the Town thanks each and every one of you for your service to our great nation!
