What's the BEST way to prepare your family for Sunday worship?
Lay out everyone's clothes the night before. Find all the shoes.
Put your Bibles by the door...better yet, put them in the CAR.
Get up 30 minutes earlier to plan for the unexpected. Ok, maybe an HOUR earlier.
None of the above.
The best way to prepare your family for Sunday worship is to worship God in your home the other 6 days of the week.
"And these words that I command you today shall be upon your hearts. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." Deut 6:6-9 Making praise, prayer, and the Word part of daily life in your home will teach your children that "worship" is not just reserved for Sundays, and that it's not something we turn on and off. Each day brings a multitude of opportunities for us to see the glory of God, speak His Word, and offer our praise to Him. Prioritizing a family devotion time helps children frame their lives and experiences according to who God is and what He says. Families that honor God in their homes come together as part of a church that worships God, teaches His Word, prays for one another, and serves with their whole heart.
Let's encourage one another as we lovingly raise the future church!

Backyard Bible Club preparations are in full swing! This year's event will be held June 6-9, and our theme is Things Hidden - learning about God through the parables. This is a special, fun-filled week where our entire church comes together to share the Gospel in a special way with our community. Where are you willing to serve this year? Who will you invite? Please be in prayer for our teachers, leaders, and all those whom the Lord will bring to our backyard this year.
Our purpose is to provide a safe and loving place for children ages birth - 8th grade whose parents desire to leave them in our care during Sunday School and/or worship services. We believe discipleship begins at birth, and so our heart is to support parents in their responsibility to raise their children in the admonition of the Lord - we do this by teaching, singing, and modeling the Word of God to each child in our care. We value each child as an important part of our church family, and they are welcomed in every part of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church.
