Weekly Junior High Update
December 7, 2018
'Tis the Season of Giving! Help contribute to our Book Drive!
Join us in helping our sister school in Kpaachi Yili, Ghana! Our Interact/iwillGo Club will be collecting books for a book drive running December 10th - December 20th. Our district is actively supporting the school, Kpaachi Yili Primary, in our sister village in Ghana. One of the items the teachers there have expressed that they need most for their scholars is books. We are accepting all types of books, new and old, fiction or non-fiction, all reading levels. Please bring your books to the front office. Thank you for your donation!

Inquirers
In science, scholars completed a summative assessment in which they had to write and complete their own lab experiment. In order to be successful, scholars had to, understand which elements bond to make sugar, predict a way to quickly dissolve sugar, identify variables, write a procedure for your experiment, and then conduct their experiment! Critical thinking at it’s best!

TOPA Kids' Night Out
Our high school musical theater group is hosting a TOPA Kids’ Night Out event. Drop your kids off at the high school for a night of games, bounce houses, pizza, and more while you go out for a date night, night of shopping, or just an evening to relax! All proceeds will help our Theater group raise funds for their trip to perform in Disneyland. See attached flyer for details.
Dishes2U New Lunch Program
We are excited to begin providing hot lunch options for our scholars upon their return from break! Please see the attached flyers for registration information as well as our FAQ sheet. We are in need of volunteers to help with passing lunches out to scholars. If you are interested in helping, please reach out to our event coordinator Darah Levander at jhevents@topamail.com. Volunteers will receive reduced pricing on meals and waive/credit back the annual registration fee. Volunteers will also be entered into a monthly raffle for a $25 restaurant gift card.
