Mobile Dentist
The Mobile Dentist will be coming to Carver Elementary this Spring. Permission slips will be sent home with students or sign up online below.
Great news! Our school has partnered with Smile Massachusetts…the mobile dentists to offer in-school dental care. CLICK HERE to sign up your child today.
Even better, dental care is usually at no cost to you. All insurance is accepted including MassHealth and Children’s Medical Security Plan. A low cost self-pay option is available for those without insurance.
Convenient and comfortable
Our in-school dental program saves you time and provides a safe and comfortable place for your child to receive gentle dental care from licensed local professionals. Dental care includes a complete dental exam, x-rays, cleaning, fluoride and sealants when necessary, and in some cases, restorative care such as fillings.
Dental care for a healthy life
Children who see a dentist regularly may have fewer health issues like:
Early tooth loss due to dental decay
Gum disease
Heart disease
Impaired speech development
Help keep your child healthy, in school and learning.

Cafeteria News
All Student breakfast and lunches are free again this year until 6/30/2022.
Milk by itself is an a la carte item and is not free. It is $.60. If a student brings a lunch from home and forgot a drink, they may purchase milk for .60 or filtered water is available in all cafeterias for them to fill up their water bottles.
If students bring their lunch from home they can supplement their lunch with free, healthy options. To qualify, students must select three of the five offered components, and one of those must be a fruit or vegetable. Please note, milk is not free by itself.
Pick 3 Free! Add a fruit, veggie and milk for FREE!
All students need their ID# and must enter their number into the POS system this year.
Grab n go meals will be available on early release days. More information to come.
Try It Tuesday
We are excited to announce that we will continue our Try it Tuesday event in the cafeteria where we will be offering samples of a fruit or vegetable that corresponds with the colors of the rainbow. Last month we sampled starfruit and yellow peppers to huge reviews! Chef Portelance from the Middle High School will also be present to talk about the benefits of “Eating the Rainbow!” On March 15th, we will be sampling “orange” fruits. We will be tasting mango and minneola. Our goal is to introduce new flavors or textures that the students may not be familiar with. Each student will also receive a coloring and fact sheet that they can color and give to their teacher. All colored pictures will then be hung up in the cafeteria in the shape of a rainbow. Our rainbow is taking shape and is beautiful. Be sure to have your student return their coloring page to contribute to our rainbow! Our goal with Try it Tuesday is to familiarize your student with fruits and vegetables of different colors and educate them on any specific nutrient and health benefits in a fun way. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards, Theresa Vernazzaro District Director of Food & Nutrition Services
SPOTLIGHTING OUR KIND STUDENTS AT CES!
The theme at CES this school year is "Above All Be Kind." Students are being challenged to be the "I" in Kind. Teachers will nominate students who have gone above and beyond to demonstrate kindness to others. From recent nominations, the following 5 students have been selected to showcase in this newsletter.
